hoop earrings question: Reading through old questions about hoops, I am wondering why people generally seem to

prefer silver hoops over gold ones. Can anyone tell me why? Do gold hoops have connotations that silver ones don’t?

It really is coloring and fashion trend related. I have warm skin coloring and I wear gold, silver just doesn’t look right on me. And for the last 10-15 years, silver tones have been predominant in the fashion industry. It is only in this last year that gold has come back in fashion.
